I believe that we are finding a mixture of French and German which we often find "regional borders " of Lorraine, Alsace and Switzerland when both languages were often mixed. A "VACHERIE" is an old term that dates back to 1150. It means a herd of cattle belonging to someone whose name is Starck. Stark in German means sombre, BTW.
