    1. RE: [SWITZ] Segessemann
    2. Rick and Sharon: According to FNBS, 1989 edition, Segessemann only had citizenship in Wattenwil BE before 1800. There are other villages listed, but starting in 1908 in Thun BE and then 1920 in Oberhelfenschwil, then other towns in 1923, 1958, 1961. There is, however, a slightly different spelling - adding an extra "n" - Segessenmann. In FNBS, they are listed in Signau, BE from before 1800 (there is only this single listing - no others). best wishes, Dave -----Original Message----- From: Fredric Z. I believe there were a couple of other communities where Segessemann later had citizenship in the 1800s, but they had earlier had it at Wattenwil. If I recall correctly there was one other community at which Segessemann had citizenship before 1800 besides Wattenwil. I have Segessemann ancestry at Wattenwil, but lose the name after a 1786 marriage. You can see my Segessemann line at my site below. Rick Saunders http://pweb.netcom.com/~fzsaund/0.html
