Dear Swiss Genealogy Listserve group. I've only belonged to this listserve for a short while and so far I am not impressed. Could all this cat-fighting be done via private messages? My sense is that hardly anyone is interested. I have belonged to a Finnish genealogy listserve for a few years and when someone posts a message it seems people race to be among the first to give assistance. I was hoping this listserve would be the same. So far I haven't noticed that occurring. In this age of data-collection-gone-mad I personally feel the 2000 Federal Census in the U.S. is a mute point and not worthy of a long string on this listserve. Furthermore, it's not going to help any of us find our elusive Swiss ancestors. If you disagree and feel the need to tell me so, please do it in a private message and save the innocent monotony!
