Reply to Richard Charles, Moutier Grandval, in Canton of Berne, is a French-speaking district. Isaac Heche was born in the 1790's, the son of Isaac Heche, and was married to Marianne Schaffter. This family emigrated to Wells Co., Indiana in 1844. I do not know of a connection to the name Heck. Thanks for the response, Joy Wengerd
