Thank you, Listers, for the warning about my e-mail date being 1969!! I think it is a problem, not with my computer, but with my old (but beloved) e-mail program. I am re-submitting my KOERNSLUR message, in case some missed the first message. ____________________ I know my ggrandmother was born June 10, 1829 in Switzerland --we think Basel. Her maiden name on my grandmother's death certificate is clearly spelled Susan KOERNSLUR. But all my research so far says that that is not a recognizably Swiss name. I have wondered if it might have been KUNTZLER and was written on the certificate with the "r" sound spelled out. Does anyone have a suggestion for researching this name? I do know she married Samuel MUSTER, born in Switzerland in 1821, and that they emigrated to NY from Bremen on May 16, 1864. They are listed on the ship's passenger list as Samuel and Susanna MUSTER.
