Geneva, 9 January 2000. Hello Everyone! There are no official rules country wide in Switzerland. One can go to a local non- Geneva city cemetery and the regulations are extremely different from another commune in the same Canton. I can tell you that we have found tombstones that are 50 years old or more in Switzerland, and elsewhere than the French speaking area of Switzerland. So please remember that if the commune decides what rules apply, Heimberg in Canton Bern will have to be consulted for their local ordinances.
