    1. [SWITZ] RE: Billeter's research
    2. Dear David: Search in SwissGen's SSD http://iseli.simplenet.com/ch-names/ to see if Billeter researched your surname. If he did, then it will tell which villages he researched and what the earliest record was. More info on Billeter on the links below. best wishes, Dave Schmutz -----Original Message----- From: david kester [mailto:dck516@yahoo.com] Sent: Monday, January 17, 2000 2:28 PM To: dschmutz@es.com Subject: Re: [SWITZ] Billeter's research on Kohler Hi List, I've seen quite a bit for Billeter and Bern but what about Billeter and Schaffhausen (SH). Guess I'll have to wait to see what the Zivilstandsamt in Hallau has to say. They're great people to work with there just like the people on this list with all of their helpful suggestions. 1. RE: [SWITZ] Looking for KADERLI relations
    2. Dear Lisa: Joe indicates that you need to check the "Bern Canton Microfilm records." Information about this can be found be starting at: http://swiss.genealogy.net/ldsloc-m.htm and clicking on the BE (Bern) canton link. This will take you to the LDS FamilySearch website and lists all the villages in the canton of BE. (Any canton's villages can also be viewed by starting in SwissGen). You will find Mülchi listed there along with information about what is contained on the microfilms. The following was found on the LDS website for Mülchi: "Parish baptisms of the Protestant Reformed Church congregation of Bernisch Messen, comprising Bangerten bei Dieterswil, Etzelkofen, Mülchi, Ruppoldsried, and Scheunen, Ct. Berne, Switzerland. Events recorded outside the parish are usually not in chronological order. Most volumes contain their own indexes. Messen, at one time administered by Ct. Solothurn and Ct. Berne, is now wholly part of Ct. Solothurn." So, I would also look in the canton of SO (Solothurn) in the village of Messen for more of the records of Mülchi. best wishes, Dave Schmutz -----Original Message----- From: Joseph E.
