Sweet b. about 1818 in Ohio and his probable brother, Cyrus Sweet b. about 1821 in Ohio. Father born in VT, mother b. in NY. These brothers appear in Bureau Co., Illinois on the 1850, 1860, 1870 and 1880 censuses ... always in Concord Twp. There is also probably another brother named Erasmus, but he shows up only on the the 1850 census. Jacob was 1st married to Florinda Stevens, then 2nd to Emeline Strwbaker (sp?). Known children of Jacob are: Sarah M., Arvilla, Henry Lewis (or Lewis D.), John, Aura (or Arna or Anna?), Alfred and Effie A. Cyrus was married to Deborah. Known children are: Sarah, Melissa, Melvina, Mary, Amos Milton who married Flora, Mary A. and Charles.
