If you are still in touch with living male Sweets from the Ontario line(s), it would be good to pass on the word to them about the Sweet family DNA project. Even if they themselves are not much interested in genealogy, I imagine they could be persuaded to join the project by relatives who ARE interested. There has been a good deal of speculation on the origins of the Ontario Sweets, and the DNA project offers the prospect of establishing whether or not they are related to the Rhode Island Sweets. We currently have four results posted on the web site http://www.fairleafarm.harvard.ma.us/dnasweet.htm plus one more that just arrived (and matches 12/12 with two of the four already posted), and there are four more in the pipeline.
