Waltera Sweet married my grandfather, Percy S. Bergman in 1946 after my grandmother's death in 1946. Waltera (nicknamed Tic) was a legal secretary for an attorney in Binghamton. Her mother, known only to me as "Mrs. Sweet", lived with my grandfather and Waltera until her death between 1969-1980 (?). To my knowledge Waltera may have been married for a very short period of time to Harry Pierson and they lived in Johnson City, NY. Waltera never had any children. Waltera is not my "biological" grandmother, however, with my grandmother, May Belle Bergman (nee Turk), dying in 1946 of cancer; Waltera Bergman (nee Sweet) is the only grandmother I knew. If Waltera is still living, she would be in her 90's and still living in Binghamton; possibly in a nursing facility or an aclf. I would like to add Waltera's family to my family tree.
