This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: SWEET, BEISWANGER, Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/HBRBAIB/1356.1 Message Board Post: I have a Clara SWEET, dau. of George SWEET and Eunice WORKMAN, George died in Truro, but was born in Rawdon, Hants Co.Eunice was born in Corktown, Colchester Co. Truro is also in Colchester Co. There were sixteen children in this family and I have info on all of them except Clara. I also have a question mark by her name, but do not find any reason for that. If you think that this is the correct family, I will try to determine where the info came from. A lot of my info comes from the SWEET SAGA by Smiley and some from a Sweet Family by Joan Jowsey. If your Clara is of this family, this means that she was believed to have been in the line of James, son of Benoni and Lydia (Dimock) SWEET. I have spent a lot of time on this James and have yet to find any indisputable evidence of him being the ancestor of this line. I am connected to Joseph, supposed son of James, but I have found just as much to disprove that as to proving it. I work on it on a regular basis, but have yet to find documentation. All I've done is confuse you, but if you have any info that would help me sort this out, I would be more than happy to share info.-----------------Phyllis Ceratto Evans
Well, perhaps I was unclear. i have no Clara's, yet, but do have Sweet's in Nova Scotia. I have 5 Benoni's but no spouse for three of them. Who was your Benoni's father? I have Elizabeth Manchester and Mary Elizabeth Sweet as the spouses of my two who have spouses. My main Sweet line is Eliza Sweet (1842 NB), daughter of John Sweet (20 Apr., 1821 NB), son of Benjamin Sweet of Rhode Island, son of George Sweet (20 Jun, 1747 RI), son of George Sweet (1715 RI), son of Jeremiah Sweet (6 Jan, 1669 RI), son of James Sweet (18 Jun, 1622 Wales), son of John Sweet (1579 England), son of Robert Sweet (1552 England), son of John Sweet (1530 England), son of John Sweet (1512 England). I do also have peripheral lines into Nova Scotia and haven't worked much on the Benoni's because they are peripheral. ~Wanda bushevans@aol.com wrote: This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list.
