My ggg-grandmother was Theda Ann Sweet, b. July 16, 1806 in Washington Co., NY, d. May 20, 1842 in Lake Co., Ohio. She married Alderman Baker Herrick. Her parents were Caleb Sweet, b. Abt 1765 in Cambridge Twp., Washington Co., NY, d. March 3, 1828 in North Perry, Lake Co., Ohio. He is buried in the Perry Cemetery. He m. Catherine Haroun, I don't have a date. There is no evidence linking him to Devon in general or Modbury in particular. His wife's maiden name is also not known. There is some indication it may have been Westcott, but that's not clear.
