"There is a Dorcas Sweet born 1798 listed in World Family Tree Vol. 7 tree 4150, born in Northhampton, Fulton co, NY married to Josiah Cronkhite. She is listed as the daughter of Sylvanus Sweet and he was the son of Benedict Sweet etc." My Sweet line goes back to Hiram Sweet, born Nov. 20 I believe in Rensselaer Co. NY. He had a sister Rebecca born Dec. 1, 1790 in Rhode Island. She married Levi Cronkhite. There was one more sister Salina, born about 1808 in NY who married Enoch Cronkhite. The Sweet/Cronkhite mix tells me there might be a tie in somewhere. I have not been able to get back further than these siblings, but have some older Cronkhite lines.
