I > believe her fathers name was Cyrus. Thanks According to the marriage record, she was born in Foster, and her parents were Cyrus S. Sweet and his wife Sarah. The 1860 census shows the family living in Foster, with Cyrus being 40 and Arminda being 9. Cyrus married Sarah Bennett in September of 1843 at Killingly, CT, but the census shows Sarah's birthplace as Rhode Island. I have been unable to find out when and where Cyrus died. He was still there in Foster in 1880, but he does not appear in the Rhode Island death indices from then through 1935. Cyrus was probably the son of Augustus Sweet of Foster, but I don't have any proof. John Chandler
