Hi Virgene, Harriet Sweet was married before she married Lewis Chamberlain. I don't know her first husbands first name " ? Sweet " . In her probate record at Darlington , LaFayette Co. Wi. courthouse , states her children were all over the age of 21 in 1899. The children listed were Charles A Sweet, Sarah Sweet,Amos Sweet and Mary Etta Sweet. In the 1870 U S census record Charles A Sweet of Darlington Wi was 27 yrs old.which would give his birth year as 1843,and was born in Ohio. His wife Rosetta ? was born in Ill. I'm guessing this Charles was a brother to the one Harriet was married to and they named a son after this brother. At least this would make sense . there are too many Charles Sweets ! Carol
