There were actually two Rowland Sweets that settled in NY, the one in your info to Dutchess County and my ancester that settled in Albany county. To date I have not found a connection to the two nor have I found info on my Rowland. We do know that he did move to NY from Rhode Island and all census records list his son Williams place of birth as Rhode Island.
