In Arnold's records for East Greenwich, RI, there are two marriages for an Elizabeth SWEET to a Peter WELLS. SWEET: Elizabeth, and Peter Wells, m. 11 Dec. 1733 (3-165). SWEET: Elizabeth, and Peter Wells, m. 02 Jul. 1746 (3-146). Is this the same Elizabeth and the same Peter, and if so, why two different marriage dates so far apart, or were there two different Elizabeths and two different Peters. If so, who is the second Elizabeth the daughter of? I have that the first Elizabeth was the daughter of William and Thankful (Hamilton) Sweet. Thanks. Kathy Campbell
