    3. From what I have seen on that, it was generally anywhere from 5 days to 2 weeks, with the later time being more typical during this period. You will notice that the VR was in West Stockbridge. It could be that there may be further information in Stockbridge. The resource I have for towns of Mass. has that there is fiche from Holbrooke/Archives Publishing and there is a manuscript/typescript for this town at NEHGS. [Which means the town of Stockbridge should have records?] Additionally, West Stockbridge was formed from Stockbridge in 1774.
