I have missed the link but I am wondering if the SWEET family you are discussing have any GILLETT/GILLETTE or CARPENTER's in it? My husbands great great grandparents are Amherst CARPENTER 5 Mar 1799 Harford, PA - 19 Oct 1877 and Fannie SWEET 1802 PA - 14 Mar 1875. Fannie was the daughter of Captain Ashael SWEET and Nancy TIFFANY. Since my GILLETT/GILLETTE, CARPENTER and SWEET families all have Harford, PA connections maybe we have a match. My husband says he can remember visiting a SWEET family on a cherry farm in Michigan growing up in the 50's but he doesn't know any family connection. When I met him he couldn't tell me much about the family so they could be relatives too. Anyone know of such a cherry orchard?
