    3. I have just been given a picture of Riley SWEET, Capt in the Revolution. I have not been able to find any information about Riley in the Revolutionary War, but have found Capt Riley SWEET in the War of 1812 (which I understand was also referred to as the Revolution). I believe my Charles Addison SWEET's father was Riley SWEET. Does anyone know further information on this person? Chris Burk Albuquerque, NM

Does anyone know further information on this person? Both Riley (1785-1853) and Charles A. (1819-1878) were buried in the Sweet Cemetery in North Granville, Washington Co, NY. It's plausible they were father and son, but there's no direct evidence on the stones. Charles also had a wife Elizabeth SLOCUM (1821-1860) buried there, as well as children Dewitt H. (1845-1900) and Annie M. (1856-1872), and a second wife Sarah M. ROWE (1821-1872). John Chandler
