My husband's grandmother was Alice Mae Isenhour b. 1872. She married Jesse Crawford b. 1861. I have found out Joseph was a nephew to Reuben, but who was Joseph's father? I haven't any pictures of the Isenhours except one. It is Jesse and Alice's wedding picture. By chance would you have any information on Jesse Crawford as to whom his parents were and where was he born? Children between Jesse and Alice were: Annie Mae b. 1897, Harry Edgar b. 1902, Jessie Lee b. 1898, William Syrus b. 1891, Henry Samuel and Arcel b. 1899. Do you have any pictures of Reuben and Mary, their son, William Henry and Lydia Burway? My husband, Arsle Buddy Crawford and I live in Holt, Missouri. Buddy has lived in Liberty most of his life and I lived their from 1952 to 1964. We married in 1969. Please email me direct if you wish. My email is KCPIGPEN69@AOL.COM So long for now, cuz. Karen

Waltera Sweet married my grandfather, Percy S. Bergman in 1946 after my grandmother's death in 1946. Waltera (nicknamed Tic) was a legal secretary for an attorney in Binghamton. Her mother, known only to me as "Mrs. Sweet", lived with my grandfather and Waltera until her death between 1969-1980 (?). To my knowledge Waltera may have been married for a very short period of time to Harry Pierson and they lived in Johnson City, NY. Waltera never had any children. Waltera is not my "biological" grandmother, however, with my grandmother, May Belle Bergman (nee Turk), dying in 1946 of cancer; Waltera Bergman (nee Sweet) is the only grandmother I knew. If Waltera is still living, she would be in her 90's and still living in Binghamton; possibly in a nursing facility or an aclf. I would like to add Waltera's family to my family tree. Please email me if anyone know's of this family.

I don't know what happened to Wilber but Martha moved on to Utah where she died in 1865. I'm not positive that Wilber is her father I am trying to verify that but I agree that is a fairly big age difference. Thanks for the info hopefully we can find more.
I, too am looking for SWEETs about that time, in Cortland Co., NY. My gr gr grandfather married Phoebe SWEET in 1824 in Cortland Co. and I have no knowledge of her parents or siblings. She married John PIERCE, b 11 Aug 1797. I assume she was born around 1800. I have found several SWEETs. but nothing to connect Phoebe to them. There were at least two Sweet famlies who purchased land from the Holland Land Co in that area of NY. If you find more of your family, please post them on this board, it's quite possible that we're looking for tbe same family. Do you know where your family went from NY? Mine moved on to PA and to OH. Do you know for sure that Wilber is Martha's father? The age spread is big enough, it could indicate Grandfather.

The Sweet for whom you search is a great mystery to me. I have never been able to determine who his parents were. A number of other researchers have also failed. As I recall, he is the link to an interesting line of Sweets in Ontario. Dix
