I have a John Sweet, b: March 1835, in Vermont (probably Orleans County) d: 1920, married Mary Ann Place, b: June 1856, she was the dau. of Benjamin Place and Phebe Judd of Jay/Derby areas in Orleans County. Mary d: 1904, and it appears she was John's second wife. The 1880 Jay Census shows in the household, John, 45, Mary Ann, 23, Nora, 13, Arthur, 11, and Maud Myrtle, 3. John Sweet and Mary Ann Place had at least four children together that I am aware of at this time. Maud Myrtle, b: 19 Jan 1877, Pearler S., b: 02 Dec 1883, John, b: Feb 1890, Clara, B: July 1895.
