    2. The Newberry Library in Chicago has a typed record of the Sweets that went to Chicago. It is many pages long. When I was there the limit of copies you could request was 50 and I believe that it exceeded that. The call number is FE7 S9752. Copies were 25 cents a page. Hope this helps if you were looking at the Chicago branch. The part I copied went back to 1790. Chris

    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/HBRBAIB/1212 Message Board Post: The first DNA test results for the Sweet family DNA project have come in. Soon, I will create a web page to post the results (identified only by the four- or five- digit id code for each test subject). Obviously, it's too soon to draw any conclusions, but that will be coming too. Meanwhile, if you are interested in joining, write to me, and I'll give you more details. Basically, each testee has to be a male whose surname is Sweet (or would be, aside from adoption or whatever). If you don't fit that description, you'll need to recruit a relative who does. More later... John Chandler

    3. Mike, I can help you we are distant cousins, 4th cousins twice removed (because you have 2 more generations on you side than I have on mine.) George P. (md. Lucy Ann Dunn or Lucy Aver Dunn) was a brother to my great great grandmother, Catherine Sweet. I have to run and get ready for work, but I will give you more info later. I didn't have who Sarah Virginia Sweet married, so that is good. I have some old Bible records, the Sweets go back from Trenton, Mercer, NJ to Farmington, Hartford county, Conn. but I haven't been able to hook them up with all the other New England Sweets yet. Almost every generation had a Mrs. Lucy Sweet. Glad to meet you!
