Moran, 87, long a resident here, died Tuesday at the home of his son, George Moran, Lexington township. Surviving are two sons, George, and Rufus Moran, Jeddo, three daughters, Mrs. Edward Niemeier, Detroit, Mrs. Amos Surbrook, Wyandotte, Mrs. Corwin Mendenhall, Riverview; 14 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren; two brothers, Ratie Moran, Wales, Mich., and Barzey Moran, Port Huron; and a sister, Mrs. Kenneth Lashbrook, Goodells. His wife, the former Miss Melvina Sweet, died 15 years ago. He was born April 4, 1860, in Governor, New York. The remains are in the Pomeroy funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m. Friday at the Latter Day Saints church. Elder William Rushton will officiate. Burial will be in Croswell cemetery. Sweet Funeral services for Mrs. Mayme A. Sweet will be conducted by Pierce Bros. Los Angeles Mortuary today at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of the Psalms, followed by interment in Hollywood Memorial Park Cemetery. Born in Wells, Minn., Mrs. Sweet lived at 5310 Rosewood Ave., and died on Thursday. She leaves two sons, Dr. Milo A., and Dr. Charles F. Sweet; two grandchildren, and a brother, John O. Anderson.
