    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/HBRBAIB/1260 Message Board Post: I am trying to locate the family of Pfc. Frederick C. Sweet who was killed in the crash of a B-17C during WWII. He was buried temporarily in Townsville, Queensland Australia, then moved to Ipswich Aus. then moved to White Hill Chapel Cemetery, Oakland County, MI. There are now details available to the familys that war censorship prevented being supplied to them over 60 years ago. So far 24 of the 40 crash victim's families have been found. There was one survivor in this crash who is still living. Hopefully someone out there can help us out. Our family was the 23rd family found and so grateful to know what happened to our loved one.

The first Benjamin was born about 1740 in Frederick County, Virginia, probably near Harper's Ferry. I don't have dates or locations on the second Benjamin but I do know his father Thomas was born about 1762-1763 in Redstone County, Pennsylvania and died between July 11 and August 4, 1828 in Fleming County, Kentucky. Are you sure your Benjamin was in the war? He would have been about 54 when it started. The first place I would look is Rensselaer County. The GenWeb site is at http://www.rootsweb.com/~nyrensse/. Then I'd go after the census records. Good luck, Ray Justus Chandler, Arizona
