Looking for Sullivan connections to my ggg Grandfather Thurston LIVINGSTON from Ireland to western NY State, he is found with his mother in Medina, Orleans Co. NY in the 1850 census. Thurstons Brother Robert may have come over to NY first. The son of Thurston married Margaret Sullivan. 58 Thurston LIVINGSTON. Born 24 Dec 1830 in Tipperary Co., Ireland. Died 25 Mar 1917 in Medina, NY. Buried 27 Mar 1917 in Boxwood Cemetery. 59 Margaret SULLIVAN. Born 10 Mar 1841 in County Cork, Ireland. Died 16 Mar 1919 in Medina, NY. Buried 20 Mar 1919 in Boxwood Cemetery. The parents of Margaret were: 118 Stephen SULLIVAN. Born in County Cork, Ireland. 119 SWEENEY. Born in County Cork, Ireland. The Livingstons were Irish Catholics and there were several generations of the name Thurston Livingston. I believe, it is possible that the Livingstons came to NY by way of Canada.
