My Sweeneys must be the "shanty Irish" type as no one seems to be researching my Sweeney family. George Sweeney (born c.1822 in either Butler or Allegheny Co., PA) married to Satia Criner born c. 1821 in Butler Co. PA to John and Nancy (Reed) Criner. In the 1850 Fed Census were living in Middlesex Twp., Butler Co., PA with daughters Sarah A. listed as age 2, and Mary age 1. In the 1860 Fed Census George and Satia were living in West Deer Twp of Allegheny Co., PA with children listed: Sarah Ann 12, Mary Ann 10, Margaret Belle 6, Samuel 4, and Jacob Henry 2. In the 1870 census two additional boys were listed: Robert G. age 9, and James Edward age 7. Am interested in any info about the issue of George and Satia and also George's father's name. Geo. Sweeney
