Here are my Sweeney's.. Thomas Sweeney born 1832 somewhere in Ireland.. Thomas married Mary Ann Sullivan in Cardiff, Wales about 1861.. At least four children were born in Cardiff: Elizabeth Francis Sweeney born 1865.. Patrick Lawrence Sweeney born 1867.. John Francis Sweeney born 1871.. Joseph Thomas Sweeney born 1875..(?) The family immigrated to Newport, Rhode Island in 1875.. Three children were born in Newport.. Augustus J. Sweeney born 1878.. William Sidney Sweeney born 1881.. Catherine Genevieve Sweeney born 1883.. At the time of the 1900 US Census, there were 9 children living (so I'm missing 2 living children) out of 12 born..
