My ancestor is Moses Swinney/Sweeney/ who d. in Pittsylvania Co., VA ca 1785. His wife was Ann ______. Children: Joseph, Ruthea, James and possibly John. Joseph was a half brother of James, so there was a first marriage. (May have been other children) Joseph, b. abt. 1744 Ruthea, b. ca. 1749, married Joseph Maples, went to Tenn. James Semore, b. 1750/60, married Susannah Hammock, d. 1836, Monroe Co., VA John - no information other than his son, Moses, served in the Rev. War as a substitute for his father.
