My great grandfather was Daniel Griffin Sweeney born 1864 in Bradley, Alabama. He was the son of Darby Sweeney, (b. 17 Apr 1824 in Randolf, Georgia died 18 Sep 1916 in Falco, Covington, Alabama) and Mary Gatewood (b. 18 Dec 1844 in Alabama, d. 18 Oct 1925) They were married 27 Aug 1863. Darby was the son of Alfred Sweeney and Christine Douglas. I wish I knew more about them.
