BROODER/MAHONEY/SWEENEY; Sartwell, McKean Co., PA; 1800s >From old photographs in the possession of a great-aunt, we know that my great-grandparents, Legouri Michael-3 and Mary Magdalene (McGILL) KIEFF of West Union (Rexville), Steuben Co., NY, had relatives named BROODER, MAHONEY, and SWEENEY. Although we don't know how these families were related, the connections were probably through the Legouri's maternal grandparents, Michael and Brigid (REGAN) McAULIFFE of Annin Township (Sartwell), McKean Co., PA. The BROODER, MAHONEY, and SWEENEY surnames are found in the early records of Annin Township. I would be happy to compare notes with anyone researching BROODER, MAHONEY, or SWEENEY families in West Union or Annin Township.
