Hi! My name is Anne Marie and I am new to this list. My gg grandmother was Ellen SWEENEY FISHER, born March 1840 in Ardara, Killybegs Lower, Co. Donegal, Ireland. She was of Roman Catholic faith. She was the daughter of Myles and Ellen SWEENEY. She had two brothers, Neil (who also came to America) and John (who remained in Ireland - as 1905). She came to America with her future husband, Patrick FISHER, on April 15, 1865 aboard the Liverpool II. They married in Lansford, PA (possibly Lansdale) and first settled in Trenton, NJ. They had several children: an unnamed child, Mary, born December 1866, Myles, born 1868, and Hugh, born May 4, 1870, all in Trenton, NJ. The family then settled in Nanticoke, PA where the following children were born: James, May 11, 1873, Margaret, October 1874, and Patrick, October 1877. Ellen lived the rest of her days in Nanticoke and died on May 16, 1905. I hope this information sounds familiar to someone and we have a match!! Good luck to everyone in your continued searches.
