Hi - I'm new to this list. I would appreciate any information on Moses Sweeney whose wife was named Ann and whose daughter, Ruthea, married Josiah Maples ca 1765 in Pittsylvania co., VA. Both families evidently moved to E. TN and on to KY/AL. I understand that a Moses Sweeney fought at Kings Mountain. Was this the one or was it a Moses Sweeney Jr.?
