Hi Dorothy.. I tried replying to you personally but it's bouncing back, so am sending it through the List.. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hi Dorothy.. There is a Mailing List called Ships List at rootsweb..The List owner, Sue, is very knowledgeable on ships to Canadian ports and Newfoundland (pre 1940's)..You could do a search of their archives or subscribe to the List..It is very active so I prefer the digest mode.. [email protected] ..And of course type in the word subscribe..I know there are Internet sites with ships arriving at Canadian ports..I don't know the URLS off hand but you could find the link from the rootsweb homepage or www.cindislist.com ..Also through The Ships Lists archives or website.. I am also doing research in Newfoundland..The St. John's area of Torbay, Portugal Cove, etc.. I have a number of books and other data with information on NF..Let me know if you need anything.. Claudia.. ~you wrote...clip..... Dear Claudia: I have been trying for ages to find when my JOHN SWEENEY came over. It seems that all the ships listed all disembarked in the USA. Is there any way to find the ones that came to Canada. I'm looking for ones that came to Halifax,Nova Scotia, Canada or to Newfoundland, Canada. I saw a name in a book in the Archives in St. John's,Newfoundland, which listed immigrants and I saw a John Sweeney....... Dorothy
