Hi, After searching for what seems like months on end I eventually found the Sweeney's I was looking for. The mix-up came because on Helen Sweeney's marriage certificate it said she was born in England, no date nothing so I found her on the 1891 census for Scotland as I know she was married in Dundee in 1881, only England there as well. Then some kind person told me about the child search facility on the Mormon site, so I did this and hey presto, up they came with Helen b. 15 December, 1860 and a sister Rosanna b. 29 July, 1858, children of George Sweeney and Brigit White m. 23 October, 1857 in Hawick, Roxburgh, Scottish Borders. Both of their girls were born there as well. So feeling very proud of myself I asked someone to do a look-up on the 1881 census for Angus for me and discovered they had a family of 10 children, including these two. I also discovered that George, the father was born in Dundee abt. 1837 and his wife Brigit White was born in Ireland (why do they always say just "Ireland?") abt.1841.
