Hi Listers: I'm searching for any information on John and Catherine Sweeny who came to Pennsylvania's Columbia County, we believe, after the civil war. Daughter Catherine Sweeny, my great grandmother, married Patrick McDonald about 1861 and was widowed with four children by the 1870 census. She married James Brennan in 1871 and lived in Centralia, Columbia County, PA until her death shortly before the turn of the century. Anyone else have Sweeny/Sweeney who emigrated from Canada to Pennsylvania's coal mining district? Rita
