I haven't seen anything on this list and all of a sudden, here you all are. I will post mine again. My grandfather, Charles Francis Sweeney, came here in 1883, to Lowell, Massachusetts from Rugeley, England. His parents were James Sweeney and Margaret Chadbourne Sweeney. James and his brother Charles, named their first boys after each other and apparently this had been done generations before, very confusing even when you know this. \ I am not sure where in Ireland the family came from. For some reason, somebody once mentioned Killarney to Belston, England. Before that, I have been told from northern Ireland, lots of brother and they all left, some to southern Ireland, some to Australia and some to England. If this is familiar to anybody, I would love to hear from you. James'mother, Margaret, was descended from Patrick Dooley, I think of Killarney. There are also Nelfords in this line.
