I'm researching William SWEENEY, born in Co. Donegal in approx. 1815-25. He married Mary WATERS, probably in Co. Donegal. They emigrated to the US before 1850 and settled in Beaver Meadows or Mauch Chunk, Carbon Co., PA. They had at least two daughters, one was Mary A. Sweeney, born June 7, 1851, in Mauch Chunk, PA, who married Frank Devers in 1870 in Allentown, Lehigh Co., PA. The first name of the other daughter is unknown. In Mary Devers' obituary in 1932 a sister, "Mrs. Charles Lanning of Denver, CO, is mentioned. Any information of suggestions would be appreciated.
