Hello Everyone, I'm researching William and Mary WATERS SWEENEY, born in Co. Donegal, emigrated to the US and settled in the Summit Hill, Mauch Chunk, Carbon Co. area of Pennsylvania. They were born approximately the 1820-1830s as one of their children was born in 1851. They had three daughters, but I only know one first name so far: Mary SWEENEY, born June 7, 1851, Summit Hill, PA, was my great great Grandmother. Another daughter of William and Mary (above) married Charles Lanning and moved to Denver, Colorado. I don't know anything about the third daughter or if they had other children. Mary SWEENEY (above paragraph) married Frank DEVERS on October 21, 1870, and settled in Allentown, Lehigh Co., PA. I'm just beginning to delve into this area of my family. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.
