Johan Otto Engström moves from Älgarås to Tämta in 1867. When he comes to Tämta he is called "Handelselev" and "Handelsbetjänt". I'd guess he was an errand boy at first and then a shop assistant. This would fit with his being a bookkeeper when he emigrated in 1869.
