I am still tracing Johan Petersson/ Pettersson, born 2 Dec 1818 in Tolg, Kronoberg, Sweden. He is not listed with his family the year he was born in Tolg. I do find him in Gårdsby AI:5 (1820-1828) Bild 102 / sid 189 (AID: v18459.b102.s189, NAD: SE/VALA/00111). I am trying to figure out where he went. There don’t seem to be moving out records to help. I have searched Tjureda page by page. I found Johan’s parents at Tjureda AI:7 (1808-1823) Bild 121 / sid 229 (AID: v46894.b121.s229, NAD: SE/VALA/00375)but Johan is not with them. The Gårdsby AI:5 (1820-1828) HFL has his father moving somewhere in 1821?. I can’t figure out where it is to look for them there. It looks like Rott… I don’t find anything like that in the same book nor in my Atlas of place names. Could someone please take a look and tell me what the place is. I do have Johan’s death date and place and have traced him backwards to HFL: Söraby AI:6 (1829-1838) Bild 117 / sid 215 (AID: v19372.b117.s215, NAD: SE/VALA/00369) in Rottneqvarn. (His father is not here.) I think Johan came from Hultsjö in 1835. Could someone please check and tell me if I got Hultsjö right? Johan’s birth date changes in the HFL to 12 Dec 1818 instead of 2 Dec 1818. Thank you so much for your help. Evelynn P.S.
