Mark, Can you please do a lookup for Grimhult in Fliseryd parish. I heard once upon a time that there had been a fire in Grimhult that destroyed the gård. For the most part, the entries on the CD are for smaller units, such as individual farms and villages, and there is no separate entry that I could find for Vena parish. I also did not see a place name Vimmerby under Vena parish, or for that matter a place name Vena under Vimmerby. The parish history pages at Skatteverket don't have any information indicating that Vena has been combined with another parish. Vena and Vimmerby are next to each other, so perhaps there is some confusion due to border changes between the two parishes? I have seen a case like this, where a farm (Åsjögle) was transferred from Mörlunda parish to Kristdala parish in the mid-1880s. Maybe if you post the details you have on your grandfather, he could be found on the PLF database. Hej Carol - Here is the entry for Grimhult on the Rosenberg CD: Grimhult i Kalmar län. By i Fliseryds sn, Handbörds hd, i sns s.v. del. Note that it is shown as a village (by) rather than a farm. There may have been more than one farm under this village.
