Today I was looking through a box of old family documents and I came across a picture of a small infant. On the back cover of this photo, someone wrote "Carl John Bloom". I have searched unsuccessfully for years to determine where my great grandfather, Carl John Bloom, born 22 May 1847 came from in Sweden. The picture is on paper. I believe photography in Europe commonly used paper at this time. The photographer's name or business name is embossed on the photo. It is "Philleo". I was curious if anyone on the mailing list has seen pictures from this photographer. If so, do you know the location of the photographer or even the location of an ancestor who had a picture taken by this photographer. Thanks for any and all comments. Regards, John from Iowa.
