Hi List, On 14 Sep 1835 two twin boys, Carl and Johan are born. Under the name of their mother it states "oågla tvillingar". I am reading this as "illegitimate twins" - is this correct? Their birth record is the side side of the page at: Karlskrona amiralitetsförsamling CIa:12 (1833-1856) Image 74 / page 133 (AID: v96141.b74.s133, NAD: SE/LLA/13200) Help is greatly appreciated. Naomi

Thank you Bo, actually I was guessing as to the meaning of "oågla" as I know that "oäkta" means illegitimate child and so I thought that "oågla" would mean illegitimate children. Since this is about twin births the word "oågla" would be the proper word.
