I am following my great-grandfather's brother Olof Jonsson, who added Aspelin to his name. (His mother and her father used Aspelin/ Aspling/ Asplind as a surname.) He and his wife moved a lot. The above reference is the last time I found them in the HFL. There is a notation that he died in 1867 and I found his death at Eda F:4 (1861-1874) Image 79. I think it says he was buried at Köla, but what was the cause of death? I did not find Olof or Kerstin at Hulteberg in the next churchbook and I do not know what happened to Kerstin. Did I miss something? Thank you. Annette

I think it says he > was buried at Köla, but what was the cause of death? --- Eda F:4 (1861-1874) Image 49 (AID: v6081.b49, NAD: SE/VA/13091) Number: 22 Death date: 8 Mar 1867 Burial date: 17 Mar Sex: M Text: married farmhand Olof Jonson Aspelin from Hulteberg, buried in Köla. Age: 50 Cause: chest pains Page: 201 in old book Curious that the page number refers to the previous HFL volume, not the current. > > I did not find Olof or Kerstin at Hulteberg in the next churchbook > and I do not know what happened to Kerstin. Did I miss something? --- They moved 1864 to page 90, but came back 1865. I don't see her in Swedish census 1880. Perhaps they had moved to Köla? Before 1879 Eda was in Eda "pastorat", so they might not be in the moving records. Did they have children? Perhaps she moved in with one of them? // Bo Johansson
