    3. John, There is an Old Portraits Database on http://www.genealogi.se/roots/ It lists for each landskap the photographers that took portraits that people have submitted to this database. You could look through each to see if you can find your photographer's name. Of course it is possible that no one has submitted any portraits by him, but it might be worth looking. I found listings for the photographers who had taken photos of my great grandmother & her mother.
