To me it looks like Elin - could be Swensdotter or > Swånsdotter. --- Looks like Olof Nilsson and Elin Swänsdotter in Frösteby(?), married 8 Apr 1713. It COULD be a different Olof Nilsson, and your Olof Nilsson married Brita Svensdotter in another parish. It was customary to marry in the bride's home parish. I think it is Anna who died here 1773, because she is crossed out. Number 84, 11 Oct 1773 is Olof Nilsson's wife Anna Pehrsdotter in Källhult, age 59 (page 21). // Bo Johansson
Thank you, Bo. I obviously looked at these records too late at night and my eyes missed things. Thank you for finding Anna's death record and for pointing out that I had found Nils Olsson, not Olof Nilsson. However, I did not find a Nils Olsson in Källhult or an Olof Nilsson in the death records for 1775. The Household Examination did say that Olof Nilsson died in 1775, so maybe the priest made the same mistake that I did. I will enter his death as 1775 and make a note of this possibility. In Kil AI:1 (1727-1740) Image 207/ page 200, what are these records? Is this a record of the dates when the people took communion? In the same book Image 222/page 217 - are these confirmation records? My ancestor Oluf Olufsson is the second name in 1739. It looks like the name, address, sometimes the father's name, and the date of birth. What are the other words/ abbreviations/ numbers on the right? I have found all of the children of Olof Nilsson in the lists, but I did not find Maria Samuelsdotter, who married Olof Olofsson. Would this mean that she had moved to another parish before she was the age to be confirmed? Thank you.
