Bo, Thank you so much! I hadn't looked at anything except parish records on AD. I will look at these records of soldiers and also look for Anders death record. Does the note in the 1754 record say that he was discharged? 60 seems old to still be a soldier. I found Anders in AD Generalmönsterrullor - Närke och Värmlands regemente 184 (1744-1744) Image 102 / page 95. There is also something about him here in the last entry. This entry is different. What does it say? AD Generalmönsterrullor - Närke och Värmlands regemente 180b (1732-1732) Image 147 Since he wasn't at Övre Ödesta in 1769 and was 60 years old in 1754, he either died or moved between those years. Thank you. Annette On 1/16/13, Bo Johansson <bo.h.johan56@telia.com> wrote: > Annette Bowen wrote 2013-01-16 19:11: > > >> Thank you, Bo. That is what I needed. What does it say? > AD Generalmönsterrullor - Närke och Värmlands regemente 180b > (1732-1732) Image 147 --- This number number 22 of the company, 352 of the regiment, is the previous soldier Per Svensson Östfält. He was replaced, perhaps October 1827 by Anders Anderson Östfält from number 176.18 I'm not sure if age 31 and 9 years service refers to Per Svensson or Anders Anderson Östfält, but it seems to fit with Anders. And he is found as number 18 of the company, (176 of ???) 342 of the regiment, on the previous page. So perhaps you can find him also in earlier rolls. > > Since he wasn't at Övre Ödesta in 1769 and was 60 years old in 1754, > he either died or moved between those years. --- Perhaps he wasn't actually 60 years old, the age seems to be inconsistent between the different muster rolls. // Bo Johansson
