Dear List Members, Was able to spend a couple more hours at the LDS Family History Center again today, and had a small measure of success. I searched for Stina GUNNARSDOTTER and found her baptism record: Lekåsa C:3 (1727-1788) Image 221 / page 425 baptism dated 12 Dec 1768 from Åsaka (I believe) Father: Gunnar JONSSON Mother: Kjersti ERIKSDOTTER I found her parent’s marriage record as well: Lekåsa C:3 (1727-1788) Image 147 / page 277 marriage dated 01 Nov 1767 What I couldn’t seem to find was the marriage between Stina GUNNARSDOTTER and Olof NILSSON which should have taken place in or before 1788. But if memory serves me, Bo stated that there was a gap in the marriage records. Also could not find neither Olof NILSSON & Stina GUNNARSDOTTER nor Gunnar JONSSON & Kjersti ERIKSDOTTER in the Household Books. Maybe I my eye is not well trained enough. F.Y.I.; I did collect on that Mushroom Burger this weekend. Regards, Lance

Perhaps Herragården? > > I found her parent’s marriage record as well: > Lekåsa C:3 (1727-1788) Image 147 / page 277 > marriage dated 01 Nov 1767 --- OK, widower Gunnar Jonsson in Herregården(?) Åsaka and maid Kjersti Eriksdotter at Tumleberg(?) (Essunga parish). > > What I couldn’t seem to find was the marriage between Stina > GUNNARSDOTTER and Olof NILSSON which should have taken place in > or before 1788. But if memory serves me, Bo stated that there > was a gap in the marriage records. --- Yes, a gap 1786-1788 in the Lekåsa "pastorat" marriage records. > > Also could not find neither Olof NILSSON & Stina GUNNARSDOTTER > nor Gunnar JONSSON & Kjersti ERIKSDOTTER in the Household Books. > Maybe I my eye is not well trained enough. --- Olle Nilsson (dead 1808) and wife Stina Gun. born 1768-12-12 Lekåsa, and their children, are found at lilla Svenstorp in Barne-Åsaka AI:1 (1808-1814) Image 15 / page 47 (AID: v9752.b15.s47, NAD: SE/GLA/13018). --- Gunnar Jonsson in Herregården(?) Åsaka and Kjersti Eriksdotter might be difficult to find, the oldest Barne-Åsaka HFL is from 1808, so they might have moved out or died by then. There is also no Herregården in the index, but perhaps it was named Åsaka Säteri by 1808. I think I found his estate inventory of 2 June 1781, on request by the widow Kierstin Eriksdotter in Herregården Åsaka after her husband farmer Gunnar Jonsson who died in May (1781). He was survived by the daughter Maria age 27 from the previous marriage, and Stina age 13 from the present marriage. He died (or was buried) 14 May 1781, Gunnar Jonsson of Herregården Åsaka, 59 years old, of lung disease. Lekåsa C:3 (1727-1788) Image 132 / page 247 (AID: v9421.b132.s247, NAD: SE/GLA/13323). It seems Kjerstin died 1789, her estate inventory of 11 Apr 1789, on request by the widower Anders Svensson in Herregården Åsaka after his wife Kierstin Eriksdotter who died 5 Mar (1789), survived by one daughter of her previous marriage Stina Gunnarsdotter, now married to Olof Nilsson in Lilla Svenstorp.
