I have followed Johannus (1819) from Södra Ving to Rångedala 1835, back to S. Ving 1837. He works at various farms until 1843 when he moves to Esperöd Socken (Södra Ving B:1 1794-1852 image 42 page 75) I found him moving in (Rångedala Moving In 1833-1849 B:2 image 72 of 101 ancestry or AD image 71) Oct 1843. There seems to be an Esperöd Socken in Rångedala but I do not find it listed in the index of the Household Examination for that time period. (Rångedala Household Examination AI:7 1843-1852 image 4) I searched each page of this Household Examination (it was getting late so I could have missed him) but I could not find him.) So have I overlooked something? Is Esperöd Socken in a different place? Where should I look next? Thanks for your suggestions and help, Carol in KY ++++++++++ Carol Johannes Svensson was born 17 Sept 1819 (not 1817) He went to Rångedala parish in 1835 He returned as you noted in 1836 but I can't read the destination in 1837 (9?) Aloha, Pono Norman A. Sandin Subject: [SWEDEN] Searching in Södra Ving Another family member and it sure is a foreign language to me....I even found some guides to Gothic Alphabets and I am lost. I am looking for Johannus Svensson born 17 Sept 1817 in Södra Ving. He is with his family on the 1824-1835 Household Examination and he goes somewhere in 1835: Södra Ving Household Examination 1824-1835 AI:4 image 58/page 105 I have searched all the possible combinations that I think I am seeing but to no avail. Where did he go? Next I find him in 1836: Södra Ving Household Examination 1836-1846 AI:5 image 211/page 204 He arrive here in 1836 and he goes to the next employment in 1837... So where does he go? Thanks for you help, Carol in Kentucky

Rångedala "pastorat" was Rångedala, Toarp, Äspered, Tärby, and Varnum parishes. > > I found him moving in (Rångedala Moving In 1833-1849 B:2 > image 72 of 101 ancestry or AD image 71) Oct 1843. --- This book covers the "pastorat", and farmhand Joh. Svensson is in the Espered Socken (Äspered parish) moving-in list for 1843, destination Löfvaskog Wg. So you should look for him in Äspered parish, and Lövaskog Västergård starts at Äspered AI:3 (1826-1845) Image 84 / page 159 (AID: v44921.b84.s159, NAD: SE/GLA/13664). // Bo Johansson
Thanks so much and there he was...of course he moves again in 1845 and there is the next puzzle. I can see that he moves to Smedså??? I have checked my Sverige vägatlas and Cradled in Sweden and the parish index and I am not putting the puzzle pieces together correctly. I also checked that he didn't leave the parish. I saw that Espered was a by. Does that mean it was a little villiage or was it a large farm? Thanks so much, Carol in Kentucky -----Original Message----- From: Bo Johansson <[email protected]> To: sweden <[email protected]> Sent: Tue, Jul 1, 2014 11:36 am Subject: Re: [SWEDEN] Searching in Södra Ving Carol Larson wrote 2014-07-01 15:26: > > I have followed Johannus (1819) --- Johannes Svensson > > from Södra Ving to Rångedala 1835, back to S.
